Sixty7Sixty has been writing and performing original music since the late 1980’s, cutting our teeth in the Philadelphia Indy rock bands Smokey Topaz and Fender Mutes.

We are John Russell and Bill Concello; John is still in Philadelphia; Bill now lives in Tokyo, Japan which is 6,760 miles away. We are excited to send our latest batch of music into the world as Sixty7Sixty!

The new band concept crystallized during the Pandemic Summer of 2020 as we tried to find a way to bridge the physical gap -  and let’s be honest, the scary medical gap - caused by the pandemic….just like everyone else. 

After a year or two of trial and error developing some recording chops and establishing a reason for existing, we think we’re ready, and we’ve spent most of 2022 writing and recording our new album, Meta-Verse-Chorus!

Meta-Verse Chorus! ....is a collection of songs that reflects our many conversations and thoughts on the state of things past, present and future. Where we’ve been, where we're heading..…a bright shiny future or a dystopian hellhole? Aside from that (yikes!) we are channeling some of what we have always dug about retro-future aesthetics and the American music that emerged in the 1950’s  and has evolved since that point. 

Musically Meta-Verse-Chorus! is a merging of various styles (we dig all kinds of music) from straight up Punk & Rock  to a touch of Funk, Indy Rock, and a bit of Country here and there. So we hope there is something for everyone, and we hope that includes you!
